Pitting
Pitting refers to the presence of small depressions or dents on the nail surface. It is often associated with psoriasis, a chronic autoimmune skin condition. Psoriatic arthritis can also cause nail pitting.
Clubbing
Clubbing is a condition where the nail bed becomes soft, and the fingertips appear rounded. It can be a sign of lung or heart diseases, such as chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD), congenital heart defects, or lung cancer. Clubbing can also be linked to gastrointestinal disorders like inflammatory bowel disease.
