1) Child’s Pose (Balasana)

Child’s Pose, also known as Balasana, is a yoga pose that is often used as a resting position during yoga practice. Here’s how to perform it:

  1. Begin by kneeling on the floor.
  2. Sit back on your heels, keeping your knees together or slightly apart, whichever is more comfortable.
  3. As you exhale, slowly lower your torso forward, allowing your forehead to rest on the floor.
  4. Extend your arms forward or rest them alongside your body with your palms facing up, whichever feels more relaxing for you.
  5. Relax your shoulders and let your chest sink toward the floor.
  6. Breathe deeply and hold the pose for as long as feels comfortable, focusing on relaxing your body and mind.
  7. To release the pose, gently walk your hands back toward your body, slowly lifting your torso back to an upright kneeling position.

A mild stretch for the back, hips, thighs, and ankles is Child’s Pose. It also helps to calm the mind and relieve stress and fatigue.
